وصف مدرب منتخب الإكوادور، جوستافو ألفارو، مباراة السنغال في الجولة الثالثة في دور المجموعات من بطولة كأس العالم قطر 2022 بالأصعب.

وتلتقي السنغال والإكوادور يوم غدًا، الثلاثاء، في تمام الساعة الخامسة مساءً بتوقيت “القاهرة” على ملعب “خليفة” الدولي بالعاصمة القطرية “الدوحة” بقيادة الحكم الفرنسي، كليموه توربون.

وتحدث ألفارو في تصريحات بمؤتمره الصحفي، وقال: “مباراة الغد ضد السنغال ستكون الأصعب في كأس العالم بالنسبة لنا”.

وتابع: “لكننا لن نغير أسلوبنا، لدينا طريقة وهي تعتمد على التمريرات الأرضية، عقليتنا هي الفوز في هذه المباراة وليس التعادل”.

وعن إينير فالنسيا: “يتعافى بشكل جيد من إصابته، ولم نستبعده من المباراة”.

وأضاف: “نحن نحترم السنغال كثيرًا، فريق جيد، مدرب جيد جدًا، لديه أسلوب واضح في كل مباراة، عرفوا تعويض غياب ساديو ماني”.

وواصل تصريحاته: “عرفت السنغال أيضًا كيف ترد بسرعة على الهزيمة أمام هولندا، لذلك من الواضح أنهم سيبذلون قصارى جهدهم للفوز غدًا”.

وأتم: “نريد أيضًا الفوز بالمباراة، لدينا بعض الأخطاء، لكننا كفريق جماعي نلعب بشكل أفضل، هدفنا غدًا هو الفوز بهذه المباراة رغم صعوبتها”.

تحدث بيدري جونزاليس عن مواجهة منتخب بلاده إسبانيا، المرتقبة أمام المغرب، ورغبته في المساهمة بتتويج اللاروخا بكأس العالم قطر 2022، ومواجهة ليونيل ميسي قائد الأرجنتين في النهائي.

بيدري كشف أيضًا عن لقائه بآندريس إنييستا والنصيحة التي قدمها له، ودعم تشافي هيرنانديز للاعبي إسبانيا، وذلك في حديثه لصحيفة “سبورت” الإسبانية. 

وعن دور إنريكي مع الفريق قبل مواجهة المغرب، قال بيدري: “هو دائما يدعمنا، أصر على أنها كانت ضربة قوية، لم نتوقع النتيجة ضد اليابان لأننا أردنا أن نكون الأوائل، لكن إذا فكرت في الأمر، فنحن في دور الـ16 بعد التغلب على مجموعة صعبة”.

مضيفًا: “لقد أدركنا أن جميع المباريات هي حياة أو موت، لحسن الحظ، لدينا فرصة أخرى ونتأهل، ولكن إذا فقدت تركيزك لعشر دقائق أخرى ستعود إلى المنزل، يمكن للخصم أن يسجل، لكننا الآن نتطلع حقًا إلى مباراة المغرب التي لن تكون سهلة”.

واستطرد بيدري: “بصراحة لم أكن أدرك متى تقدمت ألمانيا على لوحة النتائج، كنت أعاني من القلق طوال المباراة، وسألت مقاعد البدلاء في النهاية وأخبروني أنهم متقدمون، كانت فرحة لنا (النتيجة تؤهل إسبانيا)”.

وأضاف: “كنت أنظر إلى لوحة النتائج وعندما رأيت أن كوستاريكا كانت في المركز الثاني في المجموعة وخرجنا، كنت أحاول تشجيع زملائي على البحث عن الهدف الذي سجلوه”.

وكشف بيدري أيضا عما قاله له تشافي هيرنانديز خلال زيارته لقطر مؤخرًا: “تمنى لنا التوفيق قبل المباريات، أرسل رسالته إلينا جميعًا في الفريق، لم نره شخصيًا، لكنه أرسل رسالة عبر الهاتف”.

كما تلقى لاعب خط وسط برشلونة زيارة من أندريس إنييستا، وعلّق: “شعرت بالتوتر قليلاً، نعم، لم أكن أعرف ماذا أقول له، لكنه شخص عادي جدًا، كيف يبدو من الخارج وأنا فخور جدا بمقابلتي مثلي الأعلى”.

عندما سئل عن النصيحة التي قدمها له نجم برشلونة السابق، أجاب بيدري: “حول ما استمتعت به، تعيش بطولات كأس العالم كل أربع سنوات ومن الصعب اللعب بها، يجب أن تكون على أعلى مستوى حتى يتم استدعائك”.

وفيما يتعلق بتأهل الأرجنتين لربع النهائي بعد الفوز على أستراليا، أفاد بيدري أنه رأي المباراة، وعلّق: “نعم، لديهم مجموعة من اللاعبين الجيدين، يظهر المشاعر الجيدة لديهم، لديهم أفضل لاعب في العالم”.

وأكمل: “وأعتقد أن أفضل لاعب رأيته في حياتي هو ليو ميسي، إنه ميزة إضافية لصالحهم، صنع الفارق بالهدف الذي سجله ضد أستراليا”.

في غضون ذلك، كشف بيدري أنه لم يتبادل القمصان بعد مع أي لاعب خصم حتى الآن، لكنه يود أن يفعل ذلك مع ليونيل ميسي في نهائي كأس العالم.

وأوضح بيدري: “استبدلت القميص مع دافيد رايا (حارس مرمى إسبانيا) لأنني أردت واحدًا منه، مع الفرق الأخرى، ليس بعد، أود تبادل القميص مع ميسي، هكذا سنرى بعضنا البعض في مباراة نهائية افتراضية”.

عندما سئل عن احتمالية رؤية عبد الصمد الزلزولي، لاعب برشلونة المعار، أشار إلى أن لديه الكثير من الإمكانات: “سأتحدث معه على الأرجح لأننا نتعامل بشكل جيد للغاية، على الرغم من حقيقة أنني لا أتحدث كثيرًا على الهاتف، ضحكت كثيرا عندما كنت معنا”.

وشدد بيدري: “المغرب فريق ليس معروفًا جيدا لكنه يضم لاعبين يتمتعون بإمكانيات كبيرة”.

وأشار بيدري إلى رغبته في تسجيل هدفه الأول مع إسبانيا في هذه المباراة، مضيفًا: “نعم، أريد تسجيل هدفي الأول بالمنتخب”.

وبشأن إمكانية فوز إسبانيا باللقب، استرسل بيدري: “بقيت أربع مباريات ونأمل أن يحدث ذلك، سيكون من الرائع إعطاء نجمة أخرى لهذا البلد”.

وإذا كانت إسبانيا في الجانب الأسهل من القرعة، أتم بيدري: “أنا لا أعتقد ذلك، على الجانب الآخر، البرازيل والأرجنتين، المرشحان المفضلان للجميع تقريبًا، لكن كل المنتخبات تقدم مستوى رائعًا العديد من الفرق تقضي على المرشحين وهناك الكثير من التنافس”.

West Bromwich Albion have been linked with signing John Swift from Reading this summer, and now a new update has emerged on the player’s future.

According to Berkshire Live, the midfielder is expected to have played his last game for Reading as transfer interest boils over with many clubs interested in snapping up the player this summer.

Talks are ongoing over his future but the midfielder now seems destined to leave the club.

The report has said that talks are ongoing regarding his future but has attracted the interest of several clubs, with Leeds United, Burnley, Brentford and West Brom all linked to the playmaker.

Bruce must swoop

With bold competition from several clubs including established Premier League sides, Bruce must do all he can to swoop for the Reading star this summer as he would be the perfect fit for West Brom.

The Baggies boss has already outlined that he wants to bring in more “creative” players to the midfield at The Hawthorns this summer in an interview this month with Express & Star:

“We need to find a couple of midfielders who can be a bit more creative,” he told the press.

With that being said, Swift is the exact profile of a player that Bruce is looking to add to the West Brom outfit, scoring 34 goals and contributing 34 assists for Reading in his 202 appearances in the centre of the pitch at the club.

أعلن الاتحاد السنغالي لكرة القدم رسميًا غياب ساديو ماني عن كأس العالم 2022 بشكل كامل، بعد التأكد من عدم قدرته على اللحاق بأي مباراة.

وكان ماني قد تعرض للإصابة خلال مباراة فريقه بايرن ميونخ ضد فيردر بريمن بالدوري الألماني.

وينطلق كأس العالم قطر 2022 في 20 نوفمبر الجاري ويستمر حتى 18 ديسمبر المقبل.

Sharing some team news, West Ham relay their competitors will be without a key man in midfielder Caqueret after picking up a knee injury in training last week.

Although, despite early fears of Karl Toko-Ekambi joining Caqueret on the sidelines, their manager Petr Bosz has since confirmed that the former will be available.

The Verdict: Blow for Lyon…

Caqueret has been a real mainstay for the Ligue 1 giants this season with his absence coming as a real blow.

Sunderland have made their third consecutive comeback to win their clash over Shrewsbury, with the side keeping their play-off dreams alive by the skin of their teeth in their ninth unbeaten league game to put them safely in sixth, now three points ahead of Sheffield Wednesday.

The hosts dominated at the Stadium of Light with 69% possession, seven shots on target and completed over 300 more accurate passes than their opponents this afternoon, but to say Shrewsbury put up a fight is an understatement even with the statistics stacked up against them.

Sunderland looked comfortable in the first half with Elliot Embleton earning his start in the team, and it certainly paid off for Alex Neil with the 23 year old opening up the scoring in the 4th minute of the game, shortly followed up by a 13th minute goal when Nathan Broadhead doubled the lead in front of the home fans.

The Black Cats managed to hold off the visitors well in the first half, but the game was definitely a tale of two halves as when the two side’s returned to action Shrewsbury were desperate to impose themselves and make a threatening response to their opponents, which they were highly successful in achieving.

In the 50th minute Josh Vela found the back of the net for Shrewsbury bringing the side back into the game, and with the glimmer of hope driving the 16th place side on, Tom Flanagan scored in the 58th minute to even out the score-line in the North East.

However, Sunderland have found recent glory in last minute winners, with Embleton scoring in the 89th minute against Oxford and Nathan Broadhead finding the back of the net to steal a win from Gillingham the week before, and yet again the Everton loanee provided when it mattered most in the second minute of added time to kill the game today and secure all three points.

One player who made the whole team tick this afternoon was Tottenham Hotspur loanee, Jack Clarke, who was crucial on the left side of midfield this afternoon and key in the final push that gave his team the win.

According to SofaScore, Clarke made three key passes, had 62 touches of the ball and was successful in four out his five dribbles, as well as sealing the win with the assist to Broadhead’s late goal, proving to be one of the most effective players on the pitch for Sunderland.

Alex Neil now boasts an impressive run since he joined the club 11 games ago, with 6 wins, four draws and only one loss, and he will surely be hoping his team continue to keep up their winning form by not only securing their play-off spot but also taking their chances to the next level by winning promotion to the Championship next season.
