O goleiro Fernando Prass, cujo contrato com o Palmeiras termina em dezembro, já declarou algumas vezes que preferia já ter a situação definida, mas terá que esperar mais um pouco para começar a tratar sobre renovação. Foi o que disse nesta sexta-feira o diretor de futebol do clube, Alexandre Mattos.

Zé Roberto, que acaba de completar 43 anos, tem dito desde o fim do ano passado que vai se aposentar. Todos eles já podem assinar pré-contratos com outros clubes se desejarem.

O zagueiro Antônio Carlos também tem vínculo até o fim do ano, mas está emprestado pela Tombense-MG.

Razzak, who was suspended from bowling in international cricket in December for a suspect action, bowled in the recent domestic Premier Division Twenty20 Tournament after working with local experts.Video footage of Razzak’s action will be sent to experts in Australia. “As per our bowling review committee’s observation his action has improved but we need to take suggestions from experts, which is why we sent the footage to Australia,” Enayet Hossain Siraj, the BCB’s cricket operations committee chairman, said. “It’s actually a precautionary measure before sending him [Razzak] to the ICC.”Razzak was reported after the home Tests against New Zealand last October by on-field umpires Daryl Harper and Asoka de Silva. An independent analysis conducted by the ICC, also in Australia, confirmed his action was suspect. According to the report, Razzak’s elbow extension ranged between 22 to 28 degrees, averaging 25 degrees; his quicker ball ranged from 22 to 28 degrees with an average of 24 degrees. The ICC rules allow bending the arm up to 15 degrees.

Rangers’ six-game unbeaten run in all competitions came crashing to an end as they lost 2-0 to Ligue 1 side Lyon on Thursday night in the Europa League.

Steven Gerrard’s side were unable to pick up their first points of the group stage as a stunning strike from Toto Ekambi and an own goal from James Tavernier sealed the win for the French outfit at Ibrox.

Despite the defeat, there were some green shoots of potential in the performance, with a few players impressing throughout the match. One player who was a shining light for Gerrard was central defender Leon Balogun, who caught the eye at the back.

The centre-back was paired alongside Connor Goldson and was excellent throughout. He could do nothing about either of the goals, with John Lundstram allowing Ekambi to beat him too easily for the first and the second coming when Goldson’s block ricocheted off Tavernier and rolled into an empty net.

Defensively, Balogun was excellent. As per SofaScore, he won seven of his 11 duels on the pitch, making two clearances, two interceptions and two tackles. He also put in two blocks to show off his superb positioning and bravery to get in the way of the ball and prevent Allan McGregor from needing to make a save.
